Overview
Our client Next Retail Concepts teamed up with Fred Segal to revolutionize online shopping, creating an immersive 360-degree e-commerce experience that brought Fred Segal's iconic Los Angeles flagship store to to the digital screen! Shoppers could explore virtual aisles, browsing clothing racks and clicking on products that caught their eye—just like being in the store. The experience also featured a specially curated gift guide in partnership with Refinery29, which was showcased at their highly anticipated 29Rooms event, with Mastercard as the headline sponsor.
To make this ambitious launch a success, we followed a strategic, three-phase approach. In phase one, we captured every detail of the flagship store using cutting-edge 360-degree technology, while laying the groundwork for the e-commerce functionality. Phase two was all about research and design—we shaped the entire digital journey, built the product architecture, designed high-fidelity screens, and crafted user-friendly interfaces with beautiful UI components. Phase three took us to the launch itself at 29Rooms, where we developed a complete set of marketing materials to support the rollout.
In the fast-paced environment of a startup, roles often overlap, and I thrived in this dynamic setting. I played a key role in designing the onboarding process, streamlining the checkout interface, and creating visual elements like icons and animations. For the grand debut, I also spearheaded the design of promotional materials used across social media and websites. Tools like Sketch, Photoshop, After Effects, and Zeplin were instrumental in bringing the experience to life.

The 29Rooms Event
Fred Segal debuted its collab with Refinery29 at the 29Rooms event, a once a year event hosted by Refinery29. It's filled with rooms of stimulating art installations and immersive visual and auditory experiences. Our team collaborated with Refinery29 to build a brief with production parameters, materials, & floorplan.
